Club Ambassador - Job Description
Job Description:
Club Ambassadors represent Cape Storm Rugby to the community. In that capacity,
they are expected to demonstrate knowledge of Club policies and procedures. They also must reflect the qualities Cape Storm
Rugby strives to promote: respect for self, team, the sport and community. Club Ambassadors have a high level
of integrity, good communication skills and the maturity to deal with a wide range of people and personality types. They are a direct reflection on the Club and its members.
Who is Eligible: All Cape Storm Rugby players in good
standing are eligible to apply. No more than two members from each school will be selected based on their application.
Term: 1 year beginning with date of appointment.
Responsibilities:

Generates recruitment/promotional ideas and effectively communicates these
ideas to the Head Coach.

Deals directly with School Administration and local government to
get permission for recruitment and promotional activities.

Serves as a Club Liaison between players and Head Coach for any issues or
ideas. The Club Ambassador would be the "go to" person for players to confide in should they not feel comfortable
coming to the coaching staff. It is the Club Ambassador's responsibility to bring the information directly to the Head
Coach.

Helps coordinate recruitment efforts, fund raising and other Club events
by arriving early to help set up for activities, distributing information to players, reminding players of our current deadlines,
ensuring players questions are answered, etc.
How to Apply: Write a short essay (minimum of 300 words) describing what it means
to be an Ambassador for the Cape Rugby team.
Complete
and return to Coach Ludwig no later than Friday,
March 2, 2012.
Decisions will be made and announced by
March 13, 2012.
